  • Timer
  • Mug or server

Step 2: Prepare the Equipment

  • Disassemble the Moka Pot and preheat the water in the kettle to around 96°C.

Step 3: Measure and Grind Coffee

  • Use a medium-fine grind size for the coffee beans, similar to table salt consistency.
  • Measure out your coffee beans with a ratio of 1:10 (coffee to water).

Step 4: Add Water

  • Pour the preheated water into the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot, up to the safety valve.

Step 5: Add Coffee Grounds

  • Fill the coffee basket with the ground coffee, levelling it off without packing it down.

Step 6: Assemble the Moka Pot

  • Place the coffee basket into the water chamber and screw the top part of the Moka Pot securely.

Step 7: Heat and Brew

  • Place the assembled Moka Pot on the stove over medium heat.
  • As the water heats up, it will force steam through the ground coffee and into the upper chamber.
  • Listen for the characteristic gurgling sound, which indicates that the brewing process is nearly complete.

Step 8: Serve and Enjoy

  • Once the coffee has filled the upper chamber and the gurgling sound has stopped, remove the Moka Pot from the heat.
  • Pour the brewed coffee into your mug or server.
  • Enjoy your rich, aromatic cup of Moka Pot coffee!
