Berry Dawn from Baarbara Estate is dual-fermented natural sun-dried lot, showcasing a spectrum of grape and berry notes shaped through meticulous two-stage fermentation. This process enhances mouthfeel while preserving clarity and complexity, reflecting Sreeraksha’s innovative approach to processing. Our omni roast highlights the coffee’s versatility, delivering a creamy, full-bodied espresso and equally refined, sweet pour-overs. With its jammy texture, crisp acidity, and layered fruit expression, Berry Dawn captures both precision in processing and complexity in the cup.

Berry Dawn opens with alluring sweet berry aromatics, unfolding into layered notes of strawberry, mulberry, and red grapes. Undertones of plum weave through the cup, complemented by a subtle hint of clove in the finish. The profile is jammy and syrupy, with a rich, rounded mouthfeel. Crisp but sweet acidity frames the experience, delivering a sweet and balanced indulgence.

Handpicked cherries at peak ripeness undergo an initial fermentation in whole cherry form, building deep fruit character. They are then pulped, and the parchment with mucilage enters a second fermentation stage to refine body, clarity, and complexity. Following fermentation, the coffee is washed and sun-dried on raised beds until optimal moisture is reached. This precise, two-step approach yields a vibrant, sweet, and elegant cup that accurately highlights both process and terroir.

About the farm

Located in the verdant hills of the Bababudangiri Range, Baarbara Estate is renowned for producing premium single-origin Arabica coffee. Situated at elevations of 3,850 to 5,350 feet, the estate benefits from rich biodiversity and fertile soils, yielding some of the finest high-elevation Arabica beans in the world. The unique geography and diverse flora, including native trees such as Jackfruit, Jamun, Rosewood, Red Cedar, and Silver Oak, create ideal shade-grown conditions that enhance flavor complexity while fostering ecological balance.

Coffee at Baarbara Estate is hand-picked, hand-sorted, and meticulously processed using fresh stream water, ensuring quality at every stage. Shade cultivation not only slows ripening for richer, more nuanced profiles but also encourages biodiversity, with the estate serving as a thriving habitat for over 100 bird species and numerous mammals. Certified by Rainforest Alliance and UTZ, Baarbara Estate upholds global standards for environmental stewardship, sustainable farming, and fair labor practices.

Led by fourth-generation planters, the estate combines heritage with innovation. Research and experimentation are integral to its operations, resulting in the production of distinctive micro and nanolots. A resident agronomist oversees organic management and soil health, while Q graders rigorously evaluate processing and quality control.

With a deep respect for the symbiotic relationship between land, flora, and fauna, Baarbara Estate continues to preserve its rich legacy while advancing sustainable practices.
