Dragon Jam from Kolli Berri Estate is the first showcase coffee of the 2025 harvest—an explosion of funk and fruit. Run by Pranathi Shetty, Kolli Berri is a women-led enterprise in Mudigere, 30 km from Chikmagalur. This lot brims with sweetness, layered fruit depth, and a creamy mouthfeel. Roasted to a medium profile, it thrives across espresso, pourovers, and cold brew.

Cherries were selectively harvested at 3,500–3,750 MASL, focusing only on ripe fruit. Floats were removed using a saline water process, ensuring density and uniformity. The sorted cherries underwent 96 hours of anaerobic fermentation, allowing controlled microbial activity to enhance clarity and structure. Post-fermentation, drying was carried out in two stages: seven days under shade, followed by 21 days in the sun, with protection from direct exposure during the peak heat of the day. This careful sequence of fermentation and drying preserves fruit integrity, accentuates sweetness, and delivers a clean, complex expression of the anaerobic process.

Dragon Jam storms the senses with fruit-jam aromatics that spill into a rush of dragon fruit and Barbados cherry, anchored by a tangy jamun finish. The cup surges with juicy acidity, syrupy sweetness, and a rich, full body that commands attention. This showcase lot is crafted for palates chasing the thrill of sweet, funky complexity—a bold, unforgettable expression from Pranathi Shetty’s Kolliberri Estate.
